The Columbia Community Foundation was incorporated as a legal entity within the state of Ohio.

May 2008:
The Columbia Chamber of Commerce Scholarship and Lucille MacClellan Memorial Scholarship were awarded to two deserving high school seniors.

January 2008:
The Columbia Chamber of Commerce Scholarship was permanently transferred to the Columbia Community Foundation, and the Lucille MacClellan Memorial Scholarship was created.

November 2007:
The Columbia Community Foundation officers were appointed.

October 2007:
The Columbia Community Foundation was founded by the Columbia Chamber of Commerce and the former Columbia Kiwanis Club.
